About: Okinawa Christian School International
Okinawa Christian School International (OCSI) is more than just a school – it’s a Christ-centered community where faith, education, and service come together. Located in the beautiful town of Yomitan in southern Japan, OCSI provides a fully accredited American-style education for students from PreK through Grade 12. All instruction is delivered in English, and the curriculum is firmly rooted in Biblical truth, equipping students to walk with Jesus and impact the world for Him.
Founded on the principle of partnership with parents, OCSI believes in educating the whole child. The school’s approach blends academic excellence with spiritual and character development. Teachers are not only qualified and experienced, but also deeply committed to modeling Biblical living. Whether teaching algebra, coaching athletics, or leading chapel, OCSI staff are intentional in helping students grow in wisdom, integrity, and faith.

OCSI is guided by its mission: Equipping students to walk with Jesus and impact the world for Him. This vision shapes every part of school life, from classroom learning to student leadership opportunities. The school values excellence, growth, and service – striving to inspire learners who think critically, collaborate respectfully, and lead with compassion.
Students are encouraged to explore their God-given gifts and use them to serve others, both within the school and in the wider world. Diversity is celebrated as a reflection of God’s creativity, and students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds come together in a nurturing, inclusive environment. From weekly chapels and discipleship programs to after-school clubs and service trips, every experience at OCSI is designed to cultivate a vibrant faith and a heart for others.
