Join Our Outstanding Team at Sherborne Qatar

Sherborne Qatar, a prestigious British school in Doha, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to join our dynamic Early Years team. As a proud member of Qatar’s Supreme Education Council’s Outstanding Schools Programme, we are committed to providing exceptional education that nurtures both academic achievement and character development. Our strong affiliation with the historic Sherborne School in the UK, founded in 1550, reflects our deep-rooted tradition of excellence in education.
About Us
At Sherborne Qatar, we place great emphasis on academic success, small class sizes, outstanding pastoral care, and a broad extracurricular programme to help our pupils thrive. We foster a learning environment that encourages creativity, communication, curiosity, independence, risk-taking, and resilience from the earliest years.
The Role
We are looking for a passionate EYFS Teacher who is committed to creating a warm, stimulating, and engaging environment for young learners. This is a unique opportunity to shape children’s early experiences and build strong foundations for their future learning.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate and engaging lessons in line with EYFS framework.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, maintaining clear and thorough records.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents to support each child’s learning journey.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a cohesive and supportive Early Years curriculum.
  • Contribute to the school’s enrichment and extracurricular programmes.
  • Participate in pastoral responsibilities as required.
  • Engage in regular professional development, INSET, and CPD training.
Qualifications and Experience

Essential:
  • A DfE-recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent) in Early Years or Primary Education from a UK university.
  • A sound understanding of the EYFS framework and best practices in early childhood education.
  • A nurturing, enthusiastic, and child-centred approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
Desirable:
  • Recent experience teaching in the UK.
  • Willingness to contribute to extracurricular and enrichment activities.
Please note: Due to Qatar’s work visa regulations, applicants must be under the age of 50.
Safeguarding and Child Protection
Sherborne Qatar is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All staff must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). In accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance, an online search will be conducted as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
