Role Summary
We are seeking an inspirational and adaptable Class Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, fostering a love of learning in a diverse international student body. They will embrace inquiry-based learning, develop global perspectives, and support students’ holistic development in line with Aldenham’s ethos and the IPC Personal Learning Goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Upholding Aldenham’s Vision and Ethos
• Actively promote the Aldenham values of academic excellence, character development, and broad education.
• Inspire a love for learning through a positive, nurturing, and challenging classroom environment.
• Model and encourage the IPC Personal Learning Goals, fostering resilience, enquiry, and adaptability in students.
• Respect and support Saudi culture and traditions, embedding cultural appreciation in learning.
2. Teaching and Learning
• Plan and deliver engaging, student-centred lessons that challenge and inspire students.
• Use inquiry-based approaches to develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
• Integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
• Differentiate learning effectively to ensure that all students, including those with English as an Additional Language (EAL), SEND, and high potential learners, make excellent progress.
• Set and track ambitious learning goals for students, fostering a growth mindset.
• Provide constructive, timely feedback, encouraging student reflection and independence.
• Make effective use of Teaching Assistants and specialist teachers to enrich the learning experience.
3. Assessment and Reporting
• Use a range of assessment strategies to measure student progress and inform teaching.
• Provide regular, insightful feedback to students and parents through formative and summative assessments.
• Contribute to detailed and meaningful student progress reports in line with school policies.
4. Professional Collaboration and Contribution
• Work collaboratively within year group teams to ensure consistency and high standards of teaching.
• Contribute to the school’s continuous improvement by sharing best practices and engaging in professional learning.
• Play an active role in co-curricular activities, contributing to the wider life of the school.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, school events, and assemblies.
5. Safeguarding and Well-being
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection, ensuring the well-being of all students.
• Follow school policies and procedures for safeguarding, health, and safety.
• Develop strong pastoral relationships with students, supporting their social, emotional, and personal growth.
Person Specification

Essential Qualifications and Experience 
• A bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant subject.
• A UK PGCE, QTS  teaching qualification is a MUST.
• At least three years of teaching experience in a primary setting.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum/British Curriculum and inquiry-based approaches to learning.
• A proven track record of high-quality teaching and student progress.
• Experience working with diverse student populations, including EAL learners.
Desirable Experience
:
• Understanding of or experience with UK independent school practices. 
• Knowledge of or experience with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).
• Experience using Apple technology and digital tools to enhance learning.
• Experience leading co-curricular activities or initiatives within a school setting.
