Established with a commitment to high standards of education, Maple Bear combines Canadian methodology with local cultural insights to nurture well-rounded, inquisitive, and culturally aware global students. Located in Uzbekistan's vibrant capital, Tashkent, the school is dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for students from early childhood through primary grades, and into secondary levels (2025).
Educational Approach:
Maple Bear schools are recognized for their innovative approach rooted in the Canadian education system, renowned for being one of the most effective in the world. The curriculum emphasizes experiential, hands-on learning that prioritizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. Delivered in both English and the local language, the program aims to build bilingual proficiency, while still respecting and incorporating local Uzbek culture and heritage.
Maple Bear is an educational program that uses immersion methodology to help children learn a second language or study academic subjects in either English or their native language. The immersion method involves surrounding children with instruction and conversation in the target language from the first day of school. This helps children learn to listen, speak, read, and write in the new language.
Curriculum Highlights:
• English Immersion Instruction: Early focus on English fluency; Russian and Uzbek as additional languages.
• Mathematics and Science: Emphasis is placed on the students understanding the foundations of the concepts rather than memorizing algorithms or simple processes.
• STEM Focus: Engaging STEM subjects integrated across the curriculum to foster analytical and technical skills.
• Arts and Humanities: Emphasis on creativity and self-expression through arts, literature, and social studies. Special classes in Pottery, Art, Dance and Music.
