Horizon International School - Hanoi Campusis looking for a Global Teacher to join our dynamic team for the upcoming academic year. Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery:
Deliver high-quality lessons in GP, ensuring the curriculum aligns with international education standards. Tailor lessons to accommodate a diverse range of learning abilities and needs.
- Lesson Planning and Preparation:
Develop and prepare engaging, interactive, and challenging lesson plans and activities that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Assessment and Feedback:
Design and conduct regular assessments to evaluate students’ progress. Provide timely, constructive feedback to students, supporting their academic growth.
- Classroom Management:
Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment, ensuring discipline and focus on learning. Foster a safe space for students to explore scientific inquiry and ideas.
- Collaborative Engagement:
Collaborate with colleagues and other faculty members to ensure an integrated approach to the curriculum. Participate in departmental meetings and school events as required.
- Professional Development:
Continuously update personal knowledge of advancements in biology and best teaching practices. Participate in professional development workshops and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
- Student Support:
Provide academic assistance as needed and support students in achieving their potential.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education.
- A valid teaching certification or license (preferred).
- Proven experience as a GP Teacher (preferably in an international school).
- In-depth knowledge of the subject matter and passion for teaching biology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with international curricula (such as IB, IGCSE) is an advantage.
- A- bility to work collaboratively in a multicultural and diverse environment.
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Working hours: Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 4:30 pm
- Teachers may be required to join school events on Saturdays a few times a term
- Teaching hours: 20 hours per week
