Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an On-Call Substitute Teacher who will be responsible for delivering instruction across all grade levels (kindergarten through high school) using the United States of America curriculum. This position requires no previous experience but candidates must possess strong communication skills, flexibility, and adaptability. This position requires staff to already be in Japan and holding some sort of VISA or SOFA status as we do cannot issue a VISA for on-call subs.

Benefits
Moving Allowance
Full-time hires from outside Okinawa may be eligible for a one-time relocation reimbursement to help with housing or other approved moving costs.
Accommodation
On-campus housing may be provided, or assistance offered in finding off-campus accommodation for staff relocating to Okinawa.
Number of Contract Days
180 instructional days minimum and fewer than 200 teacher workdays.
Starting Salary Range
Modest salary and full benefits to include health insurance, pension, and a commuting allowance.
Flights/Transport
Flights for the employee and up to one dependent are covered by the school. A relocation allowance may be available for applicants hired from outside Okinawa.
Dependent Opportunities
Full-time positions include a tuition benefit for up to two dependent children.
Medical
Qualifying employees are enrolled in the Shigaku Kyousai (Private School Mutual Aid) health insurance and pension program.
